Eddie Lacy Impresses Teammates – April 20, 2016
Chicago Direwolves RB Eddie Lacy impressed teammates with his physical transformation on the first day of the offseason program Monday, April 19. QB Drew Brees, WR Kelvin Benjamin and TE Greg Olsen all said Lacy looked good. Lacy is in better shape heading into the 2016 season after his well-documented P90X workouts.
Lacy is coming off one of the more disappointing campaigns from any player in 2015. If the Direwolves’ key players can stay healthy and if Lacy can stay in shape, he could be due for a nice bounce-back season.
‘Wolves “one of the most complete teams” Drew Brees has been a part of – July 5, 2013
With a new contract extension and an owner asking him to put in Peyton Manning-esque time on the job, it’s shaping up to be another season of high expectations for Drew Brees. As always, though, the success or failure of the Direwolves isn’t going to be determined by Drew all by himself. The fact that he’s given up golf or doing more rigorous film study won’t do much to help the team win games if the offensive line can’t block or if the defense regularly gets lit up. It would be a good thing, then, if the ‘Wolves wind up being as strong a team as Brees thinks they’ll be. We’re going to be pretty good this year, Brees said, via the Lake Geneva News. This is one of the most complete teams that I’ve been around. It’s going to be a very enjoyable football season.
