New York Hitmen

Jamaal Charles Has Been Running – April 20, 2016
New York Hitmen RB Jamaal Charles (knee) has been running but isn’t cutting in his rehab from a torn anterior cruciate ligament in his knee. ‘I’ll be ready,’ Charles said of being back out there for training camp. ‘I can’t wait.’  Charles will be 30 this December, and his injury history is extensive at this point. He’ll surely be rested more often after Matt Forte and Adrian Peterson were effective in Charles’ absence last year. But when healthy, Charles still is one of the more productive backs in the XFFL, and he can return to elite status.

Andrew Luck Not at Full Health – April 20, 2016
New York Hitmen QB Andrew Luck (shoulder, kidney) said he’s not as healthy as he can be and that he still has work to do, although he did say he feels really good. Luck did he say he participated in everything during the first day of the offseason program Monday, April 18. Luck did not disclose a timeline for his rehabilitation or what he must do in order to complete a full recovery by Week 1.
Luck is arguably the best quarterback in the XFFL when he’s healthy, but staying healthy has been tough for him lately. He had one of the worst offensive lines in the XFFL last season, and he tends to have a nitty, gritty playstyle, too.
